MHI is an interior design & remodel firm founded by lead designer, Marla Harrington, specializing in residential renovation, full-service furnishing and e-design. Marla brings a comprehensive background in renovation project management, furniture sourcing & home staging. MHI has extensive knowledge and understanding of the design and renovation process gained by hands-on experience in the field. Whether you are looking for assistance with tastefully furnishing your home within your set budget or you are looking for a company to design and execute your dream home renovation, MHI is here to help!

Services Provided
Full-Service Design
MHI will oversee every aspect of the renovation and or furnishing process. A detailed timeline will be created while coordinating with vetted contractors, trades and suppliers to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule and in budget. Deliverables will include concept development, space planning, material selection, fixture selection, specification documents, scope of work documents, interior design drawings, furniture selection, accessory selection, upholstery/fabrics selections, purchasing & renovation management. Your MHI contact will often be on-site overseeing renovation process. Furnishing purchases will be managed and tracked by the designer until arrival. Installation will follow of full-design items.
Full-Service Furnishing
Our Full-Service Furnishing process takes your single-room, multi-room or whole home redesign from initial concept to final furniture installation. Your designer will begin with a discovery call followed by an in-person consultation to measure your space, define goals and discuss aesthetics. An initial mood board will then be developed based on discussed style and goals. Spatial planning will be executed with furniture & decor selection beginning after. Your design concept board with furnishing selections will be created and presented. This will be followed by any revisions and approval of all items. Your designer will then place and track all product orders. All items will be quality checked by MHI upon install. Furniture & decor will then be installed & styled by MHI upon arrival of all items.
E-Design
The e-design process begins with a discovery call and is followed by you providing photos, measurements and inspiration for your home to your designer during or after your consultation. Your designer will then begin creating your design mood board with thoughtfully sourced furniture & decor to fit your discussed aesthetic using dimensions and specifications provided within your discussed budget. Any revisions are to follow. After the design is presented and approved, you will follow the provided images and/or shopping lists to then purchase the items and set up your space on their own timeline. This service is provided at a “flat rate” fee based upon the scope of work and is often the most affordable option with the quickest turnaround.
